A true Gentleman and steady hand with all he faced.
Worked with Russ in E San Jose on swings a lot. Great guy and partner in the heat of battle. So sorry I lost touch with him, he will be missed. God be with his family. Bill Clark #1664
Worked with Russ in the Training Unit and in Patrol. He was always a class act. and put together Community Awareness classes with “Wigsley!” We had a lot of fun times together both at work and socially. as well. He was also one heck of a cabinet/wood worker as well. Goodbye old friend!
Cool guy back in our day! Enjoyed our swing-shift patrol time together. May his memory be eternal.
I remember to pick up Russ at the back of the pack while running at the academy. He cussed at me all the way to the finish but he made it.he as a good guy. RIP Russ
Russ was fun and easy. Years ago I saw him window shopping at San Marcos Square in Venice. We were both on separate vacations and didn’t realize we were both in Venice at the same time. Russ didn’t see me but I saw him and I deliberately crowded in front of him and purposely got in his way with my back to him. Every time he moved, I moved with him blocking his way. After a short time I could feel his rage and turned and greeted him. He laughed when he saw that his disgust had been focused on me. We hugged, spoke for a few minutes then wished each other a great vacation.
Life was better with Russ in it.
Went with Russ (Bugs) on an Alaskan Cruise and a trip to Vegas. He was fun
