I close with a great example of the camaraderie, respect and friendships that develops among the members who served at the Department.
Retired Ofc. Jamie Saldivar #1805 and former member of the Department’s Mobile Equipment and Response Team (M.E.R.G.E) will be undergoing medical treatment.
The current group of M.E.R.G.E officers learned of Jaime’s situation and reached out to active Capt. Max Zuniga, also former M.E.R.G.E and asked if he could arrange a meeting with Jaime.
The meeting was set up and the officers met with Jaime and took a team photo.
Thank you Capt. Zuniga for your efforts and the new generation of officers who stepped up to show their support of a fellow team member.
