  1. Desmond has a prominent place in my man cave. When I see him, I smile thinking about all the fun and mischievous things he brought to my life. Desmond taught me to fly. His pen tapping on an instrument to remind me I was off altitude, airspeed, or heading. Desmond was a young man when he passed, but he was even younger at heart.

    1. Well said Gary. Great loving family, great moments in aviation. Never got over his loss. He loved Army aviation fixed wing and helicopters like no other. Remembering a time he co-piloted me in the L-19 to Frietze Airfield at Fort Ord, ran me through the Huey instrument flying simulators there. Logged other training with him as well. Great guy. Great team member motor-cop driver as well. Generous and caring. Never met anyone like him. Very grateful to have been his friend and teammate.
