Officer Erin Arana Allen victim of a cowardly ambush

Posted on 1 Comment

On August 16, 2023, tragedy struck the Allen family. Officer Erin Arana Allen, a 10-year veteran of the San Jose Police Department and the wife of Officer Neal Allen, was the victim of a cowardly ambush. While responding to a call of a Family Disturbance, she was shot. She was wearing her bullet proof vest, however, the bullet penetrated just below the vest and into her abdomen. This injury caused severe damage to many internal organs and a fracture to her spine. Erin has undergone multiple surgeries and has more surgeries scheduled. Erin’s road to recovery is expected to be a very long one. Neal has been by Erin’s side every minute since this tragedy and plans to be there through this ordeal. In addition to caring for Erin, Neal’s elderly parents and their four dogs had, just weeks prior to this, moved in with Neal and Erin, as they need assistance due to their limited mobility.

As you can imagine, the financial toll of a tragic incident like this begins to build up quickly. If you would like to contribute to Erin’s recovery, a monetary donation of any amount would be greatly appreciated.
