SJPD Requests Assistance on Felony Hit and Run from 3-9-2023

nOn March 9, 2023 at approximately 7:03 PM, Officers responded to a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in the area of Tully Road and Flint Avenue. The preliminary investigation revealed the following:

nAn unknown year and make, possibly white or light colored, four door truck was turning westbound onto Tully Road from southbound Flint Avenue into the number one lane. The truck struck an adult male pedestrian that was crossing Tully Road southbound across lanes of traffic. The pedestrian was outside of any marked crosswalk assisting a family in a disabled vehicle. nnThe unknown vehicle and driver fled the scene after the collision and have not been located or identified.nnThe pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.nAnyone with information on this investigation is urged to contact Detective Aldinger #4183 of the San José Police Department’s Traffic Investigations Unit at 4183@sanjoseca.gov or call 408-277-4654.nnSubmit crime tips and remain anonymous by using the P3TIPS mobile app, calling the tip line at (408) 947-STOP, or on www.svcrimestoppers.org.
