The office of the Chief received a phone call from Kala Nichols letting us know that her father, Sgt Nichols (pic attached) had recently passed away. She has reached out to the POA and getting information.

She was interested in having a small ceremony, but she is requesting honorguard/funeral detail. Is that something you could help coordinate?

If so, I’ll share Kala Nichols’ information and have her make the request.

I’m also including Gary Johnson, who previously kept a list of retired personnel that have passed away. Gary, can you help pass this along to the Farsider?

I’ve also reaching out to Lt. Gular, who is currently in charge of the Honor Guard to see if he can assist.
